Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine. --
1 Timothy 5:17 (NKJV)
How will YOU show DOUBLE HONOR to our great leaders, Pastor Steve and Pastor Mary? Share your thoughts and words of appreciation by commenting on today’s blog.
Hi Pastor Steve, also hi to pastor Mary. I am Aisha's mom. Enjoyed today's blog as I usually do. Just to say Happy Pastor's Appreciation time. I am so very greatful to God for giving my children pastors like you. Aisha has been Pastored by mom all of her life and it was difficult to find someone that she could relate to as their spiritual parent, she and Deric (her fiancé) are so very happy and admire you so much that I can only say: "Thank you God for sending my children Metro Life's way". I am so very sorry I could not be there for the celebration since I am preaching in three different countries several prophetic and apostolic conferences, but my prayers and love are with you. May the God of Glory reward you even more than he has with all that your hearts may desire, health, prosperity, and the joy of seeing the Generations you are impacting serving the God you love and serve so mightily. Love always, Dr. Idalmis Garcia'
Couldn't let my mama be the one and only posting on the blog! Although I've tweeted and facebooked my Honoring comment I figure why not write more as their are never enough words to say how indebted I am to Pastor Steve and Pastor Mary for what they have brought into my life! Rays of sunshine, truth and reality checks (LOL)! Even when in passing we smile at each other because there so much going on I feel the love and care. Their always making sure even from afar I know that I matter to them and that for me is priceless! I hold them high (so no pressure) in who I view them as people. I know they are not perfect, but sure are amazing! A man and woman of courage and valor! Because of love they put themselves in Harms' way at times; ensuring that all of us are protected from any outside forces! So I honor them by saying Here I am and by always always trusting in them the vision they have for Metro Life! Kiss Hug and High 5 Pastors! Love you all long time Aisha!
Appreciate your pastoral leaders who gave you the Word of God. Take a good look at the way they live, and let their faithfulness instruct you, as well as their truthfulness. (Hebrews 13:7, MSG)
During pastor's month I want to remember what is to have pastors Steve and Mary Alessi in my life. For me is being submitted under authority; it means protection, and sense of belonging. Belonging to a place, a great family, Metrolife's family. Having a pastor means someone that I am accountable to, so others may identify me. Someone that can speak into my life in specific moments of need or just because the Lord gave him a word for me; someone that leads my spiritual path as a shepperd but also someone that can speak about me and stand for me before others. You know what I mean? A pastor is not only someone that is into preaching on Sundays is someone you have a relationship with: I am thankful to God for the life of Pastor Steve and Mary Alessi and during this month of October I want to honor them and recognize them. Thanks for all the sacrifices you do in secret and we don't know; thanks for being patient, thanks for being who you are but most of all thanks for loving me and teaching me the love of God!
Live from baby central in Boston....I wish you both an awesome anniversary and Pastors Appreciation weekend! I wish I could be there this weekend to celebrate the Pastors in our lives that we love so very much. Thank you for being the best Pastors in the world.

Pastor Steve and Pastor Mary not enough words can be said to truly honor and express the love and appreciation for all that you and your church have done for the multitude of folks that have come and continue to come in through the doors. I for one am one of those folks that cannot fully express all the love, honor and appreciation I feel for you both. I'm truly honored and blessed to call you my pastors. Having attended numerous churches within the U.S. as well as outside of it, I had never found that true and lasting relationship with God until that Easter Sunday 2011, when I walked through your doors for the very first time. It was on that day that I was so moved by your sermon that I was literally shaking and crying, and I fully committed 100% of my life to God. What you and Pastor Mary teach and practice within your church is something that I truly have never fully experienced anywhere else. In my opinion from the many churches I have attended in the past, there's this culture where a pastor ministers and the rest of us sit back and enjoy "church" from a comfortable distance. I don't believe that this is what God intended for His church/family. After Jesus rose from the grave, He left His followers with a simple command: “Therefore go and make disciples of all...” (Matthew 28:19) This is what I feel is being taught by you and Pastor Mary. You pave the way for us to learn and teach others about God. You emphasize the importance of serving others. You focus on building relationships and impacting everyday life everywhere. You make each and everyone of the members of your congregation feel like they too can take an active role and make a difference in other people's lives. For me, there is no greater way to honor and appreciate you both other than finding more and more ways to serve your church and to serve my fellow brothers and sisters. God Bless you both and THANK YOU for all you do!!!
